I can confirm that BMP180 seems to work like the BMP085.
I'm not 100% sure of the difference between the two, but my chinese ebay supplier "assures 100% working like BMP085"! The datasheets specify the 180 is a replacement for the 085, and has slightly lower noise in ultra power mode.
I'm using the BMP180 in a project at the moment, but plugging in and testing as if it was a BMP085 device in webiopi works fine so far - will post back with any issues.

As the BOSCH spec officially states the BMP180 is the 100% direct replacement for BMP085. Thanks for the confirmation that it works.
